In Pinn & Cuillin Ridge Munros

Service Description

The Cuillin mountains on the isles of Skye are complex, rugged and rocky with a very Alpine feeling and appearance. The main ridge boasts a total of 11 ‘Munros’ including the Inaccessible Pinnacle. There are 12 Munros on Skye altogether including Blaven. (Munros are Scottish peaks over 3000 feet in height). Many summits can only be reached by roped scrambling or rock climbing in the case of the In Pin and in poor visibility a high degree of route finding ability and knowledge is needed. During misty weather prior knowledge of the intricate sections is essential. Guiding on the Inaccessible Pinnacle (In Pinn) and Munro courses are only run during May, early June and September. From experience these months generally have the most reliable weather and fewest midges!

Cancellation Policy

Booking Conditions: I agree to abide by such regulations as Talisman Mountaineering may consider advisable and I understand that if I make an alteration to a booking once an invoice has been raised I must give my new instructions in writing and pay an amendment fee of £50. Talisman Mountaineering reserve the right to cancel any bookings should the minimum course participant criteria not be met. In such cases an alternative date or course will be given or a full refund offered. Please make cheques payable to 'Talisman Activities' Cancellation: I understand that if I cancel my booking my deposit will be forfeited. I also understand that if I cancel my booking within six weeks of the start of the course and if my place cannot be filled then I will be liable for the full course fee. Insurance: "Climbing and Mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement." (BMC Participation Statement) We are covered by professional liability insurance but you are responsible for organising your own CANCELLATION, CURTAILMENT & ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVER. Health: I agree to notify Talisman in writing should I have any underlying health condition that could affect my participation or the safety of other participants.
